Call for Proposal:
The competition invites students of educational institutions of the North East India, who have a
promising idea about a plan that could create a sustainable social impact on our society.
All winner
ideas will be incubated in the IITG-TIC subject to the fulfillment of IITG-TIC’s eligibility criterion.
Then- Apply to win in the IITG-TIC Innovation Competition.
1) Eligibility Criteria:
a) Student of the Educational Institutions of North Eastern region of India, b) Original works which are
not used for other competition/commercial purpose.
2) Documents need to be submitted along with the application:
a) Bonafide certificate of Studentship from the concerned institute, b) Certificate by faculty mentor of
the concerned institute about the originality of the work, c) Proposal containing the idea of the
innovation, its implementation, business model, commercialization & impact to the society
(preferably
within 2000 word).
3) Areas of Innovative ideas:
* Agriculture Sector
* Health Sector
* Tourism
* Women empowerment
& Women Safety
* Food Processing &
Packaging
* Ideas having
impact on the society
* Handicraft Sector
* Non-Conventional Energy
* Cottage Industry

5) Recognition and Award:
A panel of juries consists of highly qualified personal will shortlist eight teams/individuals after
scrutinizing all applications and on 29
th
October’2016 from10:00 AM onwards the short listed
teams/individuals need to present their proposal with an allotted 20 minutes slot before the juries and
the venue of the final presentation will be at
Conference Hall, IITG-TIC, IIT Guwahati, Guwahati-
781039.
Prizes are 1st Prize Rs.20,000/-, 2nd Prize Rs.15,000/- and 3rd Prize Rs.12,000/-.
6) Accommodation:
IITG-TIC will provide accommodation for two members of the participant team. No TA/DA will be
provided.
